Ministeritason poliitikkojen normalisoidessa rasismia ja fasismia kannanotoissaan ja poliittisessa päätöksenteossa on entistä tärkeämpää, että ruohonjuuritason alakulttuureissa ja musiikkiskeneissä otetaan selkeästi kantaa fasismin kanssa flirttailuun ja suoranaiseen äärioikeistolaisuuteen. Metalliskenen sisäinen kriittinen keskustelu aiheesta on vielä pitkälti käymättä etenkin Suomessa.
Organised by the Turku Book Café metalheads since 2017, Love Metal Hate Fascism is a spiritual successor to the work done by the British Rock Against Racism and Love Music Hate Racism campaigns and the Swedish Hårdrock mot rasism network. We need critical and open discussion on the role of music and festivals in extreme right recruitment and in promotion of fascist politics (see e.g.
