War/Peace documentary film is re-introducing the Weather Underground, a radical student activist movement from the late 60s and 70s. The film serves as a historical reminder and draws comparisons between past and present forms of political activism. It asks a question: how can we make a change if peaceful demonstration is not effective and violence only brings more violence?
We are inviting you to see the film and hear ex-leader of the Weather Underground
Bill Ayers talk about activism in the US. You'll also have an opportunity to ask filmmakers and Ayers questions.

The event is hosted by the John Morton Center for North American Studies, IIPC (International Institute for Popular Culture), and Turku City Library.
This is a first time for the leaders of The Weather Underground movement to visit and talk publicly in Finland.
